Dwindling Freedom in Kazakstan
Topic: Central Asia
In a move that shouldn't surprise anyone who's been watching, Kazakstan clamps down on religious freedom. The new law has already been signed by the prime minister, and a similar one was enacted back in February.

What's interesting is how quiet the Kazak media are on this one. A quick search on Google News brings up plenty of hits on the story, but none from Kazakstan itself.
